Our story

We bought The Penthouse after falling in love with Oz en Oisans in 2012.  Several family trips to the Alpe d'Huez area had convinced us that the combination of 250 kms of pistes, great mountainside dining, plenty of sunshine, an authentic village community and - very important - fast and easy transfer from the airports of Grenoble, Chambéry and Lyon, were for us.

Wanting to create a home-from-home, we kept furnishings simple and functional but easy on the eye and above all comfortable.  Kate has 2 decades of experience in the fashion, travel and interiors industries; whilst Tim has travelled extensively in the name of business to countries with often harsh and extreme climates.  We know the importance of feeling nurtured and looked after.

We use The Penthouse ourselves, for family skiing holidays with our three teenage daughters, as well as a base for summer hiking.  Our Norwegian Buhund, Pepper, comes too, and dogs are welcome in our home (subject to our prior approval) so long as they don't climb on the furniture or stain the flooring.

First and foremost, The Penthouse at Le Bouquetin is a family home, and this is reflected in the warm, welcoming furnishings, super comfy beds and personal touches.  It is there to be enjoyed, and we invite you to share it with us.
